1992 UTB M101A2 Box on a M116A2 Frame.

Searched SS with no luck.
What exactly is done with a MSE Modification?
Part number came up empty.
Contract number dealt with generators, etc. but no M101A2’s.
Internet was dry also unless I totally missed it.

Closest I could find is Mobil Subscriber Equipment or Missle System Enhancement. Nothing to do with these trailers that I’m aware.

My other M101A2, made the same year, by a different manufacturer, does not have the Mod data plate.

When I picked up trailer, it was equipped with floor and side racks.
Not built for regular cargo.
Was assigned to a Signal Corp Unit.

Assume it was for all the racks, but would like to know for sure.

Ideas??

Pretty sure it means Mobile Subscriber Equipment. Army had some crude cellular com setups around that time with shelters in HMMWVs that needed to haul auxiliary equipment.

It’s identical to my other M101A2, with the exception of the racks that were bolted to the sides and floor.
