what injectors do I need for an 86 m1009? is it corse or fine thread? long or short? any affordable source for +25 hp injectors? are they worth it?

Wellman 70 should work just fine, any diesel shop should have them, you can also order online.

Wellman 70's are glowplugs. I just had my injectors rebuilt but cannot say if they are long or short, fine or corse they are stock. I have never read where they are refered to in your discription.

Look in the TM (-34P) Intermediate Parts Manual. The part number is
6704001. If you search the cage code you'll see it's from Delphi.
You need the long fine thread for the early 6.2L.
NSN is 2910-01-150-0950.
usdieselparts.com has them as do others I'm sure.
Feel free to cross-check this and verify with other members who may have used others with varying results. A search of the CUCV forum should yield good results.
And don't try to put Wellman 070s in your injection ports
