I bought an 08' rebuilt lds465 what turbo is on it. Its not a d I have a d??

The turbo on an LDS engine from a 5-ton is different than either the C or D turbo used on the LDT engines from a 2 1/2 ton.

This doesnt look like an lds turbo Ive not seen one like this on an lds I have heard of the d turbo on an lds but this almost looks like a c??

I read on hear they use an adapter to fit the ldt turbo thats why I was curious to see.

"C" turbo. The turbo fits without mods but there is an exhaust adapter to mate it to the M39 series trucks.

Thanks Recovry I spoke with the fellow I bought it from he said when he started it, it didnt whistle so was curious as to why and any thing I should do as far as maintenance or check before I put this engine in? I couldn't pass it up for 600$ and never installed since rebuild.

I ll be selling my LDT once my LDS is home

You will need parts off your LDT to put on the LDS before you can get rid of it. Bell-housing and oil pick up tubes just off the top of my head.

I know thanks Rob I ll be selling it minus those and the plate to block ps pump till I get a power steering setup .Itll be more for someone with a bad engine that can use there old parts.

you got a good deal, I looked at that one , it was listed wrong. Think I found it with (multi-fuel)
