I've searched and keep getting TM's on how to rebuild them and maintain them. I just want to know how to get the drum apart for the wheel cylinder to be replaced. What TM am I looking for?

Let me give you a trick on this.

When you get the drum off turn the adjusters on the top of the shoes so they are as wide apart as possible. There will be just enough room to remove the wheel cylinder and put the new one in. The first time I did this I pulled one of the springs off and it took quite an effort to reinstall it. This is much easier to do and takes literally a couple of seconds to do.

You will want to do a primary brake adjustment when you put this together.

Inspect and pack the wheel bearings if they appear to need it. They are not lubed by oil and are instead lubed with grease you pack the bearing with.

One last item you should get is an 8 sided 3" socket to properly remove and then readjust the bearings when you put the hub back on.

Hope this helps

edit: Page 87 in the manual referenced above has the specific change procedure for the wheel cylinder but, you will want to start in chapter 4 page 301 (Same TM) in order to see how to remove the hub assembly.
