Gang, does anyone know who makes the D turbo? I have a Schwitzer that doesn't have the 3LG319 marks on it. Dunno which turbo it is. If Schwitzer made the D turbos maybe its a D. Anyone?

Not sure if this is helpful or not . . .

Someone was selling a TM#? on ebay awhile ago, and I jotted down this excerpt from the cover of the manual.

Schwitzer P/N 4LE-354 FOR LDS-465-1A
Schwitzer P/N 3LD-305 & 3LJ-319 FOR LDT-465-1C
Schwitzer P/N 4-456 FOR LDS-465-1
Schwitzer P/N 4LE-456 FOR LDS-465-2
Schwitzer P/N 4D-454C FOR LDS-427-2
Schwitzer P/N 4D-554 FOR MACK ENDT-673

TM 9-2990-201-45 has those numbers on the cover.
I only have the "change No 1" for it, not the whole manual. It's dated Aug 20, 1968 and covers the 4LE model only.

I have that manual. It looks like the 4LE-456 is the "D" turbo. My manual is dated April 1979. No listing of the LDT 465 1-D in the index. The 4LE-456 is listed as the LDS 465-2 turbo. I have heard the LDS 465-2 engine uses the "D" turbo, but I don't have any proof of that.
