winch M35A3

Purchased a M35A3 from airbase , winch sounds like it what working when engaged on automactic shifter, but does not engage , someone told me there is a alum shear pin on the shaft somewhere that could be be sheared. Does anyone have any thoughs on this.

Mine had a valve plunger rusted and was keeping it from working . Once I got it broke loose it worked . I will get you some pics of location .

pic one is valve closed , pic two is vavle open in the actuated postion .
Mine was froze in the down / off position . This is behind the hyd. tank .

I soaked the top of it with penatrating lube , then turned the bolt on top of the plunger to the left and right .

The winch on my a3 works but doesn't seem to have enough hydraulic pressure to pull anything. The truck just bogs down any input?

Increase the engine rpm while you are using it?

No increasing the rpms does not seem to help
