Wiper Blade Arm Popping Off

I have an M998 and the drivers side wiper arm is binding hard and then popping off of the ball. I have everything out and nothing is jumping out at me as to the cause. All of the bushings are fairly tight but not such that I can’t get them apart. The wiper arms are straight. The wiper on the drivers side is not hard to swivel at all. Any ideas? There is “some” play where the wiper arms join behind the motor but I don’t know what normal is. Tx in advance.
