I'm even more surprised it hasn't been included as original equipment on all road type military vehicles(with electric wipers) from the day it was invented almost 60 years ago. In high school/vocational school it was one of the first circuits we built to understand R/C time constants and transistor switching.

Ford Motor Company and others stole the idea from its inventor who eventually prevailed in lawsuits against them.

The patents have run long since run out and the circuits are widely available to be copied as are built off the shelf units ready for wiring.

I'd be happy to get my wipers not to "park" in the middle of the windshield
Pull the inspection plugs (racetrack-shaped plastic pieces at top of windshield frame inside) and see if you can move the actuator rods. The plastic inserts are cheap and easy to replace (easy to break too if you put too much effort into it - order a spare) and should stop that, otherwise it's inside the motor housing, but I haven't worked on this particular motor to help.
