I just purchased a M105A2 trailer from gov. liquidation, and the listing was as follows:

1993 TURTLE MOUNTAIN MFR CO MDL M105A2 1 1/ 2 TON 2 WHEEL CARGO TRAILER SN 2829, WRONG DATA PLATE ATTACHED FOR MDL#, GVW 5, 750 LBS

So what are the implications of the wrong data plate attached for mdl#? Does this mean I won't be able to title it in Maryland or is there a simple fix for this? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. -Jon

The only thing you need to worry about is that whatever serial number they have on the data plate matches the information that YOU fill out on your application for the SF-97 or title application from GL.

Replacement data plates are available for the M105a2 trailers from a couple of places.

The current ads running in the upper left corner list a lot of M105a2 trailers as being built by Pribbs. Pribbs never built the a2's only the M105a3's and the M116a3 or the M101a3 trailers.
