I'm planning on the hill above the shelter, plenty close enough. Nice flat spot up there for my large stuff.

Some advice for the guy coming from Florida.

GPS has me leaving I-75 N onto the I-275, W on I-74, then taking 52 thru Brookville, then N on 121 to Laurel.

Looking at the map, would staying on I-74 W to the Batesville area, north on 229 thru Oldenburg to 52, then 121 to Laurel be a better route?

I'll be in a one ton pickup pulling a goose neck trailer with a 205 shelter and a M1009 on it. I'd be thankful for any local advice.

Trust me, Your GPS has the better route. Even with 52 being a US hiway, it still has some hoop de dos that you have to be careful on. Maybe you will run up on our convoy- we plan to arrive at Haspin on Wednesday. We will be taking that exact route north of Knoxville.

Alright John, according to google map using the 229 route is 10 mins and 8 miles longer. You are correct about the twist and turns enroute but i still feel that rt52 is more friendly for larger vehicles.

The important thing is we all get there safe and let the good times roll!

If you want to shut down at night, it's fine with me. I have a quiet model civi 3k that I can run at night, I think it's enough to run both campers.

Forecast is calling for low 80's and sun so far.

I just saw this. I'm going to try to make it up over the weekend pending work= job & time for mataince on my ugly yellow 715( needs green paint bad). If I think the 715 is up to it I'll bring it and my 105. If not maybe just my wrangler. Really hope I can make it. Will be my first rally. Looking forward to meeting everyone, getting to see these vehicles in action, as well as furthering my MV education. Not looking forward to the prospect of how much $ I will probably spend buying, ordering parts,& hours spent thinking about financing, obtaining, & convincing the family how and why I need one of this model of this and one of that like I saw there. Lol maybe I missed it but has this not been posted about on the 715 zone?? There are a few other members not to far away that may be intrested in attending.
