I bought one of those boxes from a guy on Ebay months ago! I installed it on my M820A2 in place of the Pioneer rack. I paid $121.00 shipped for a brand new one with the mounting hardware. His Ebay ID is kpsurplus .

I am attaching some pictures of the box mounted.
If anybody could use an m756 pipeline tool box (goes across the bed from side to side), let me know....it isn't free and pick-up only...
I can't make it fit without cutting it down some, so I'll let it go.
Finally got around to mounting the box. Still need to add straps so I can use it as a diaper changing station and I want to mount a mud flap on the tire side to help protect it. It holds ALOT! 3/8. 1/2, and 3/4 socket set, wrench set, 1" drive pneumatic impact, air bottle jack, air hose, hammer, and a couple loose pieces. I hope the six, 1/4-28 bolts on the side will be enough. The back side has a grade 8, 3/8 bolt up front and a 1/2 bolt in back.
All of these boxes give me tons of ideas for storage on the 818 and 810. Keep them coming.

Hey Gimp,

Do you think there is enough room to move the box closer to the frame in order to allow the box and the box door to clear the side clearance lights?

He did say a little while ago that he was getting rid of the gay blue gloves...I guess he just switched colors

Don't let us bother you Clint. Rather than spend 20 minutes washing my hands every time I work on something greasy, I use the gloves too. They are cheap and keep you clean.

I personally like the idea of skin cancer on my hands. Actually, I think my hands just hate gloves. I always wind up using bare hands by the end of the night collecting oil. None of the reusable rubber ones seem to work well for putting on and off without getting the inside filthy and defeating the purpose, and I would use a whole box of disposibles a night if I used those.

I need to get mine mounted. Gimp can I keep the spare tire mount? Did the mounting brackets line up ? You are a brave man for posting that avatar.

Clinto, I doubt it. There is the spare tire mount thats right there, sure it can be moved/modified. Then there is a bed cross-member reinforcement you MIGHT miss. Finally, the bed mount for the spring bolts is there. If the planets align for you, you migh be able to do it.
You could always move them to the front of the bed, facing forward, or bolt them on 2ft back, from the front, on the sides.

Neil, The mounts toward the rear of the truck work, but on mine, I needed a custom bracket for the front. I put mine on a dropside bed, not sure if it will be the same for a regular bed.

Well, to his credit, that bracket and bed look filthy. Compared to a new one... pretty clean compared to my stuff!
The truck does look kind of iffy-it's the USAF tan repaint on top of the original 383 CARC and of course, no prep work whatsoever, so every time I wash it, more of the tan comes off. One day I'll paint it but for now, the dump truck gets all the attention.

And it just went offroading: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showth...to-your-deuce-this-week&p=1285636#post1285636

All joking aside, I have rarely used the blue ones. The diamond grip tan ones are the way to fly.

Doesn't bother me a bit-but I'll miss everyone who got skin cancer from all the carcinogens in petroleum products.

The trick is to pull them off and in doing so, pull them inside out. Get your hands dry, and then turn them back right side out by blowing into them and inflating them like a balloon. Put them back on and keep moving. I re-use them all the time and don't throw them away until they rip.

I have not seen a disposable glove of any kind that didn't rip as soon as it saw my hand.......

Clinto- it's not the material the gloves are made of, but the size. If you can find some in size XXXXL they may work. He might be better off finding some weather balloons on GL to wear as gloves.

I thought that was why he bought the 100ft cargo parachute!

It's "wing night" at the bar tonight. I always hate how messy my hands are after eating a few dozen hot wings.

I think I'll bring gloves tonight and see what happens!

Great thread topic!

"But officer, I couldn't have been at the bar eating wings last night!"

*officer checks fingernails, finds other stuff but not wing sauce* "Yep, you have to be telling the truth. Unless you were wearing gloves, and only really weird guys wear gloves to eat wings, and you look normal enough in this low light. You're free to go."
