As sponsor of the bill, can you block another amendment being attached to it?

Cannot upload waiting and impatient smileys.
Suggest checking out the amendment first.
In my state, they stick stuff that cannot pass on its own onto something popular.
Maybe Georgia is different. Perhaps the amendment has support and could grease the wheels.
Lobbyist should know.

Interesting day, had a 6 hour project status meeting while all this was going on and I was a bit distracted, then had to deal with truck movements and troop maneuvers. So what happened today.

1.) The Rules committee put us on the schedule for tomorrow which will be the last big legislation day.
2.) Representative Ramsey added an amendment to SB 392 that I am working to get the amendment but all feedback from our team says it is non contraversial and for those of you that are bored look up Representative Ramsey's position in the house :)
3.) We were then added to the section called Modified Structure on the schedule as the structure of the original bill was modified.

So after who knows how many months, the end to our journey comes tomorrow. The House can call bills in any order to a full vote on the floor. I am working to get a more definite time if possible when the bill will be called to the floor. I will know more after 10:00 am eastern tomorrow. Yes ,more amendments can be added to the bill. That would require a vote for the amendment to the bill, which has to stand on its own before being attached to SB 392 as modified currently.

Say a quick prayer if that is in your life tonight, and even if prayer is not in your life say a few words asking for help as we look for the end to a long battle.

Yankee Dollars are as good as Southern Dollars :) Thanks Tin Medic!!!

Swiss, i called today and spoke with some real nice staff members, i asked them to please pass along my request to have their member support this bill. I also got a few voice mails, i left them a message to please support this bill. Anyway do you still need us to keep calling those members who are not already listed as supporting this bill, or do you think we have enough members on our side now to get this over the goal line?

not being a pessimist here, I think this will go all the way, that said, correct me if I'm wrong, If this passes with any amendmentit has to go back to the senate for a vote since the bill will be changed from when the senate passed it.

I need some more blood pressure pills!
