They haven't been worked much due to the springs keeping them extended. Drive them a while without the springs. Mine came around even though one was a little notchy like you described. Didn't matter in practice. They sorted themselves out.
Okay, that's good news, we'll see what happens. Now to decide if I spend the time to clean them up and paint them hoping they're okay:) Will have to pull them to see how the behave after driving them anyway, so paint after I determine their condition.

I spoke with HD Shocks, their shocks are Kings and the nice thing about them is that they actually create part numbers for the shocks making it easy to order when someone else wants the same shock. King doesn't do that, they just make custom shocks for a customer, which is why, even though they have made shocks for these trucks before, no one knows anything about it if you call and talk to them. HD trucks is also a king service center and does rebuilds/revalves with a couple day turn a round. They're located in Bakersfield Calif.

Anyway, I have given them all of the dimensions for the fronts and will pull a rear shock and do the same. If anyone is potentially interested in shocks, I will forward the info along to you.

Interested!
I can speak with all my local crew. Fitment for the front of a non A1R is just two more of the same as the rears so they will have the formula for every truck just based on your fitment. It's only our front coil-over that is the oddball.

Thus a group buy would be community wide for all FMTV owners. Which could be a sizeable number. When I did cab bushing group buy we sold out all 50 sets in like a week.

Yes, I already explained the fitment situation covering all variants. He was happy about that. I haven't heard back from him yet. so I'll call tomorrow and float the group buy idea.

Okay, spoke to Pat at HD Shocks again. He hasn't had time to get to the info I sent him due to working on a couple other custom orders, but he is interested in the group buy idea. He said he should be able to get back to me later this week or first thing next week.

We should start pulling together a list of people interested. The more people we have up front, the more negotiating leverage we'll have on pricing.

Thoughts on starting a group buy thread?

Yeah you should start a group buy thread. Since it's not for you or your business to profit the mods should allow you to post a group buy. That's how I did the cab mount bushings.

And then post links in all the Facebook groups to it as well.

Did you post the group buy thread here or in classifieds?

Okay, the shocks are reinstalled. I don’t have any confidence the frozen shock is going to sort itself out. You can literally hear and feel when it surrenders to the weight of the truck and move. It is not happy internally.
