M35A2 un-insurable

Well I've tried everything. Progressive doesn't mess with military vehicles anymore, Haggerty wants it stored inside (thats out) and all the others won't work with me due to a DWAI that I got in May 2009.

Anyone want to buy a nice clean Deuce in Colorado?!!

Strange, recently I was able to get a Progressive commercial policy on my m109a3. My independent agent called it into Progressive HQ and explained to them what it was, with a picture of the truck.

WHATS YOUR ASKING PRICE? Why cant you insure it? what is a dwai? some one on this site can tell you where to get good insurance. try acceptance, or direct, some one out there will insure your truck. how does the truck run? it got good brakes and info need info?

i have mine insured with state farm. i just told them it was a 1972 AM General, model M35A2. I think i pay $240ish every 6 months. then i have commercial plates and thats about $240ish also... but i only have it registered to haul 3000lbs in the back... usually i run empty anyway. on occasion i do haul mulch for our flowerbeds or neighbors....personal use.

State farm never asked until later (when i had the policy) how much it weighed, i told them 13,500 and they didnt seem to care...i just talked it down like its just a big pickup, thats it.

My 86 AM General M35A2 is insured with State Farm as well and I don't have to store it inside or only drive it in parades etc. I was with Gulfway, but there were too many restrictions on how I could use the truck.

When i called for a quote for my truck they asked me certain questions. i told them it was a large pickup truck as it is listed on the title. then they asked me if it weighed over 2300 lbs carry more than 16 passengers or hauling commercial or hazzadous material and that was safeauto. i told them no, no, and no. i didn't have to have a special license either according to the department of safety where you get your license. i read the commercial handbook anyways to learn how to drive my large pickup with air over hydralic brakes.

I'm also with state farm, other than having to have AM General put into their computer as a maker i have had no problems, with mine or my wifes. oh and i only pay $26 a month for mine for the basic 'just enough to keep it legal' coverage with a $1k deductable

uhh, it weighs over 2300 lbs, so if you get into a wreck and they figure that out, you are screwed.

I use geico and have no problems

I'm sure that was a typo and he left off a 0 cause i don't know of any pick-up that weighs less than 2300lbs

Definitely a typo. Most exotic sports cars weigh more than that.

I have six (6) trucks, four (4) of which are dueces, with Progressive.
The only thing is that they require a commercial policy which is fine, so that anyone can drive any truck.

I'm thinking most of you guys missed the part that the OP is looking for an insurance provider who will work with him despite his misdemeanor DWAI (Driving While Ability Impaired) conviction on his driving record.

State Farm commercial policy here. 700.00 a year, proper weight listed, can pull a trailer, can use it for my business, can do anything I darn well please with it, and it doesn't have to be kept inside. Only downside is it is for liability only, they will not offer full coverage on a Deuce.

Try Gulfway insurance in florida. Someone here suggested them and my father used them on his 5 ton. I know they dont have to be inside.

Driving while ability impaired. Lots of states have two "levels" of DUI laws, with DUI and DWI. This is a third, lower tier law. They need only prove that your ability is compromised at some level, even if you can still walk the line and follow the flashlight.
