Mine are all 'Works getting ready for progress!' I'm getting pumped counting down the months and days for Spring to get the M135 Cdn MRT stripped down and refurbished. I sweet talked Butch Atkins out of six large boxes of NOS parts and pieces, went to meet Tom at Alfa Heaven and returned with a couple bumpers, fenders, complete winch set up and tons more.

My weak link is the fuel tanks and internal fuel pump sending unit stuff. Next will be the M207 (M220) and then the rest of the fleet.

I really like what many of you are doing on Remembrance Day/Memorial Day with the Veterans. I hope to be able to do similar here this year. Sadly the trucks are outside until I secure a place to pull them indoors to do the strip down. Al Gore's Global Warming is freezing my a$$ off!

I sold my Xm-211 many years ago but still have fond memories of
listening to the U-joints scream every-time that full torque Hydramatic
caught another cog!!! and that has to be one of the sweetest running
gas 6's ever built. All I have left now is my memories and a 100 or
so NOS carb kits LOL. popacom / BILL in KY.

I have not driven my GMC Yet, Bill. Does the drivetrain on these have a distinct or audible whine to them? I love listening to the old Chevy grain haulers (C65's) with the big 427's in them. Especially in reverse, they had a very audible and sweet sounding drivetrain whine to them. I bet the Multifuels do too, but the noise coming out of the exhaust pipe muffles everything else.

I would really like to see a side-view pic with the canvas cover on the bed (for a model I'm working on).

Send me a PM and tell me exactly which areas you want to see. I'll pop down to the compound this weekend and get what ever pics you require.
Wow, thank you! Really just a couple side views with the cargo cover on (not rolled up like in your avatar) and maybe a view from the rear? I'm assuming the cargo cover has separate front and rear curtains?

I appreciate it.

I would also be very interested in seeing what the cab soft top frame looks like under the canopy (or without the canopy installed yet).

Here is mine the day I picked it up. 52 xm211. I've been working on this truck for the last few months, and currently resizing all of my pictures for my build thread, so that should be coming soon. Currently still in teardown mode.

Gotcha, Oldfarts truck, dressed for show, beautiful. I'd like to have more history on all the trucks. Any pictures while they were working, in the 50's, with the men that had to rely on them would be good to see.

We guessed wrong on the weather and left the M135 outside last night, had to show the pic.
