There are also friction pads in the fan assembly. I had overheating problems and that was the cause. Replaced them and everything worked fine. They are easy to replace.
It would be hard to bend a bracket for the AC compressor. The alternator and power steering bracket is cast so it would on crack.

I have been dealing with the same with belts jumping then failing. I had my water pump and harmonic balancer crap out as well, both needed to be replaced. What I see on mine is that the power steering pump is to far forward. The AC condenser is about a half grove off.

There are pads in the fan. Everything worked fine on my hmmwv and was overheating. Replaced these pads and no more overheating issues. You will see small screws on the back of the fan. They are easy to replace. Got my new pads off of eBay a few years ago
