Hi all,
On start-up, the gauge for the generator bounces from yellow to green and the headlights slightly dim. After a couple minutes of idling the gauge goes to green. Is this normal?
Right on. Sounds like a smoking deal. My IR light works as well.
I have an MWO tag applied but I don't see a date on it. It looks new...How do you know what they did for the modifications?
It's only on the passenger side and is in pretty poor shape.
The engine/drivetrain doesn't leak one bit so I'm really hoping that means all is well and not that there is just not any fluid left to leak out.

I waited 83 days for mine to clear. I expected right from the start that 5 weeks wasn't going to happen. And really when it comes down to it, I paid $9000 for a running HMMWV. I think I got a smoking deal even with the long wait.
I'll be making the trip from Houston to Chicago then back to Houston in the next couple weeks to pick up my m998. I'll have an empty pickup bed. Waiting on EUC approval but it is expected next week on the 8th. If so I'll be heading out then.
Assuming that this rig had been sitting for a few months, did it start right up or did you have to boost it?
