Main rear engine seal and bracket are stuck

It worked. I just tapped a few threads down. I used the claw of a hammer and it popped off.

Main rear engine seal and bracket are stuck

My initial thought is tap 2 of the opposite holes on the seal bracket one size larger in thread and use 2 larger bolts to push the retainer off by screwing them in or use a slide hammer on the 2 larger threaded bolts. Thoughts?

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Thanks to GimpyRobb's advice, I took out the 24v magnetic starter relay, cleaned the contacts, flipped over the metal disc and it works like new. I no longer need to use a hammer as my start button by tapping the relay while someone else pushes the button.

    Mission Accomplished

My father and I live in Southern California and bought a non-running M35A2 in Las Vegas 3 weeks ago not knowing anything specific about military vehicles. 2 weeks ago we had it towed to my friends house thanks to the Las Vegas Club, specifically Warren Willis who referred William, with the two...

    1940 bsa m20

New member, my father and I just bought a M35A2 project. I thought I would share the 1940 BSA M20, un-restored after WWII.

New member and owner of M35A2

So that is what you call the disease, when you know nothing about MVs last Monday and now every search and conversation starts with M35A2. I had similar symptoms during my previous experience owning a 1940 BSA M20 motorcycle from WWII.

I would agree from talking to the previous owner that she did zero maintenance and lost interest. Her next purchase was a 1976 Firetruck and then she proceeded to buy a 1997 military vehicle same type and size as the M35A2. They all need work, but she does not have the skill or tools only the...

Quote on transporting a M35A2 from Las Vegas, NV to Laguna Hills, CA

I recently acquired a M35A2 in Las Vegas, NV as a father son project. It was running and then the brake pedal went to the floor and has not been started in 4 years. I'm planning a resurrection/recovery 5 day mission Nov. 13th-18th to see if we can get her started and stopping. The wise...

Thank you for all the advice. I will post in the classified ads for a NOS air pack and not rebuild with a kit. I shall keep you all posted on our progress. If there are any M35A2 mechanically skilled owner's in Las Vegas that want to stop by and tell us what we are doing wrong or help...

New member and owner of M35A2

By way of introduction, my father and I are the new owners of a 1967 Kaiser M35A2 with a 1988 Hercules turbo 136hp engine. I just bought it in Las Vegas and only spent an hour with the vehicle during purchase. I will be returning to Vegas in November to resurrect and drive her back to...
