    military version or civy conversion

Even the rails atop the truck are original. I'm sure the air in the tires are too for that matter.

    First ever CUCV

Oh! YOUR first CUCV. I thought this thread was about the first CUCV created.

What's the vehicle under the roof in front of CUCV?

    Korean War Helicopter Pic

That is a Bell 47. H-13 "Sioux" in US Army parlance.

    Headed to New Orleans

Hmmm, I thought I was the only one with a M1008/M1028 near New Orleans.

    Slowest deuce restoration ever

I like the little girl's reaction in the first photo...."OH NO!" Too cute.

    Please help identify this CUCV?

Military or not, its a great looking truck.

Who has the oldest military Vehicle on SS

I had a 1940 Highway Trailer Co. K-38 trailer. Sold it this summer. FYI, Jackson Barracks Military Museum in New Orleans has a 1917 Cadillac staff car and a 1917 Renault FT-17 light tank.

    m135 odd ball

Hate to nit pick but that's a Chevrolet 1 1/2 ton front end.

Need information about this 1941 GMC

I believe its a mobile small arms field repair shop. Looks all original, including black out marker light over left front headlight, tow hooks on bumper, van windows and rather rare eight-hole "Budd" rims. Its missing a massive flat military grill guard.

    Please help identify this CUCV?

Nothing on it says military CUCV. Civilian grill guard, civilian rear body, chrome mirrors and A-pillar lights, Chevy badges on fender, chrome bumper, gasoline engine. Although it could be a COTS military truck, its not a CUCV in the true sense of the acronym.

    M1009 side windows

I installed a sliding rear window in my M1028. Huge difference regarding temp. Only drawback is leaves getting sucked into the cab.

    Cab/cargo cover

That's just how I want to depict my future M35, as an in-country 'Nam truck.
