Steel Soldiers giveaway sponsored by hawkerbattery.com

It would be nice to have more specific batteries then the local farm store has in stock!

No Fuel, No Start, No Idea

Another success. I got my new clip in from AMBAC and my new O rings from the oringstore.com and got everything back together. You can see my original clip (right) didn't look in bad shape, but I still put the fresh one in. After a little installation, I got some smoke! I still have to...

No Fuel, No Start, No Idea

Success!, I got the HH off and low and behold the clip and button had fallen off. I gently touched the quill shaft gear and it didn't move, which I am guessing is a good thing. My three pronged clip and button look to be in good shape, but I am hesitant to reuse the same clip if it already...

No Fuel, No Start, No Idea

I am working in dirt/grass and I only lost one bolt and had a close call before I got the bright idea to spread out some newspaper under the truck! So when working solo (I'm an Army of One) you have to take the injector lines out I am guessing. In my case I suppose it wouldn't be a bad idea...

No Fuel, No Start, No Idea

I am talking about the little hair pin looking clip. (I stole the picture from Gimpyrobb's post)

What happens if I theoretically lose the "Jesus Clip" that attaches to the fuel control rod? Also, how much slack do the injector lines have? Will I have to remove them from the injectors or just loosen the connecting linkages? I don't have red mark just the scored tooth.

Trust me, I tried all the easy fixes first!

No Fuel, No Start, No Idea

Just when I was coming to terms with having to open up the HH, you had to bring out the quill shaft! I am hoping that's OK as I can see it spinning and going up and down through the middle bolt. Just to be clear when I go to pull the HH. The red tooth and the scored tooth are the same, right...

No Fuel, No Start, No Idea

Yep, she'll kick over with ether. I think I have it narrowed down to clip and button coming off the plunger in the HH. I sort of want to have the parts on hand before I open it up, but I will probably take Gimp's advice and open up first.

No Fuel, No Start, No Idea

OK, So I have done more reading and staring at the TM. So the plunger in the HH goes up by a cam, compressing the fuel and the quill shaft spins it around where it then can shoot a pressurized up to the injector (it helps me to be able to understand the mechanics so I am not as intimidated). I...

No Fuel, No Start, No Idea

By "fuel control" do you refer to the fuel cut off lever or are you talking about something related to the throttle? I haven't messed around with the throttle, but I have seen the external linkage working. If something was wrong with the throttle, wouldn't the engine still fire, (either idle...

No Fuel, No Start, No Idea

I cracked 4 out of six lines just before the injectors and nothing came out. When you have the bolt of of the middle of the HH, is fuel supposed to shoot out? Mine, when the ignition is off will start to ooze fuel after a few rotations. Welldigger, by button do you mean the semi bow tie shaped...

No Fuel, No Start, No Idea

Wow you must have some Inspector Gadget arms, "Go-Go gadget ether arm". I tried that and it will only run when there is ether, once I stop spraying, the engine stops. Also, there is really no smoke coming out of the exhaust like it would usually do when it is running on diesel. I never...

No Fuel, No Start, No Idea

Please help. In the fall I parked my deuce with ¼ of a tank of diesel according to the gauge (which turned out to be less than 1/8 of a tank). It never ran out of fuel or coughed or missed, I shut it down in the normal way. Next spring I went to fire it up and it wouldn’t start. I checked...

    Battery Desulfater for any MV.

Last fall I had a battery go down and thought that a desulfanator would bring it back to life. So I got the 12V BatteryMinder and brought the batteries into the basement to charge. I had the charger on the bad battery for weeks to a month and I could only get about 12V. Pretty sure I had a...
