Here’s a photo of one of the starters I found online. The lever under the dash engages the lever towards the right of the starter. The button on the floor by the clutch gets it spinning, but the lever engages it to the flywheel.
Copy that.
I’m guessing, if there was something seriously mechanically wrong with the truck, they would not go through that trouble of draining all the fluids?
I have a very early 1950 M38 that hasn’t tun since at least the 90’s, engine does turn over. What is the start-up sequence? Looks like the bendix for the starter has a manual release, never seen anything like that.
Looking to get an M52A2. I see some at the auction sites that have had all the fluids drained. Is that indicative of a higher problem or is that the equivalent of being pickled? Localish dealer has a few in a similar situation that have been surplussed out but not brought back to life yet.

Bought mine beginning of November, still waiting. Am told mid February is the magic 65 day mark. Without asking about it they mentioned I could ask for a refund at that time.
Is this pretty common that EUC’s don’t come and they issue refunds?
