i put the turbo kit up forsale and it literally sold 5 minutes later. if he doesn't buy it i believe you're about 8th in line for it lol i can't believe they sell so fast!
1985 M1009 38k miles, turbo.
I worked on this truck all week, i did some wiring, swapped out a fuel filter assembly, fixed up my gauges, and changed my radiator. Previously this truck would want to overheat. I once saw the gauge get up to about 240* before i could shut it off. Rad was...
Well the past three evenings I've: removed radiator and took it to have boiled, only to find i need a new rad, I made a new battery mount to fit my batteries back under the hood with the turbo and the air filter box, tonight i'm making an air filter box to keep the mud out of it, i rewired my...
oh! man... brain fart.. those are the same wheels i plan to go with as soon as i get the axles in my 09. are you running spacers or did you recenter them?
the stock line didnt have one, i used the stock like and some 1/8 pipe fittings off of the oil pressure sender to get it to reach. if you buy one and it has it you should be able to just drill it out, i had to with my rx7.
i didnt have any issues with it fitting, i used 2 exhaust mani gaskets to space the manifold out from the blok to clear the injectors. I LOVE THE TURBO. just wait till you get it on and running good.
I just got my turbo installed and up and running on my M1009 yesterday. I used the stock 6.5 feed and return lines, I used 1/8" NPT pipe fittings T'd off of the oil psi port in the rear of the engine and ran it to middle of the engine under the intake maifold so the stock feed line would reach...
I'm going to mount just to the left of the stock location in the engine bay. With the turbo, (should be done in 2 days) i'll have room behind the aircleaner since there wont be an air cleaner there haha. I'll post up pics when i'm done.
the issue there is in about 3 days my truck will be turbo as well.. my two batteries are currently in the rear of the blazer, but after having them there i think i'm going to move them back to under the hood and both in the front battery tray. I'll have more room above the engine but i havent...
When I first got my CUCV my filter block was cracked so I replaced it with the Mueller one from walmart because I was cheap. DO NOT USE THIS FILTER/FILTERHEAD It worked OK... but it is for a boat so the only place you can get replacement filters from is a boat store, they are pricey, small, and...
You can find them for that price range, just gotta be watching. My 09' had 27k on the clock, running and driving (though not well) no rust, crappy seats and dash pad and the guy was asking $2500. He was looking for a trade, i called and told him I'd give him cash for it and what was his lowest...
when my relay went bad all i had was a big pair of channel locks..... i grabbed the top and bottom of the relay with them to jump it, did that for 3 days until my new relay came :)
