Don't try to drop the tank until you have used a long screwdriver on the filler neck hose clamps. I had to jam a piece of wood, between the tank and frame, in order to get enough room for the screwdriver. My problem was solved.

Thanks. But, it turned from a missing gasket to a missing flange unit. The gasket has to fit around the protruding center section of the flange. Just the gasket might work, but wouldn't work as designed. Maybe that's how the water cans were made? I ended up buying one of those aluminum flanges.

I just found that my cap is missing the flange/gasket unit altogether. It would have been nice if the person I bought it from would have mentioned it. Now I'm trying to find the entire unit, but I'm only finding a couple of after market units.

I looked on eBay and didn't see any for a Scepter cap. Unless the ones for the "metal" gas cans will fit.

I got a pair form Jatonka, and they fit so tight I actually ripped both trying to slip them on. The rips aren't large, but maybe they should have had extra stitching in the are where the back meets the sides.

Mine is an '87 M998 and none of my connectors are empty. Maybe they weren't thinking of backup lights then?

So you found an "empty" connector near the tail lights riderdan?

OK. I didn't even think of the speaker needing it's own power source. Maybe their instructions with help with that also.

Would the 19V going into the 24V speaker make any difference in sound quality or anything else?

Thanks. I've ordered the speaker so I'll have to see what instructions come with it. My concern is if the docking station is wired in for 24V, would there be some sort of difference for the CB installation? Or, does the docking station convert the juice back for something that works off of 12V...
