    Springs vs. Blocks

I believe ruffstuffspecialties sells a shackle reversal for the rear. It looks pretty beef and you still get to use your stock rear springs. Idk about you but I'd like to keep my 1 1/4 springs for towing. Just my .02

    Wheel Spacers

I though we were talkin about a different CUCV! Lol whoops. Well what axles are in your m1031? Figure that out and I can help from there.

    Wheel Spacers

OR You can just buy 4-2" wheel spacers and mount the all the way around then go to ruff stuff specialties and buy the disk brake brackets for your 14 bolt and use elderado calipers(if they will work) and chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 rotors.

    Wheel Spacers

As far as the front axle goes: If you want the extra strength, you can buy dually hubs and install them then sell the single wheel hubs for more cash than you'll spend buying the dually hubs. (this option doesn't really make it weaker..more "less strong" I guess) You can save money by buying...

    Wheel Spacers

You might get lucky and find a 70 HD at a junk yard. The "camper special" dually chevy pickups/motor homes have them. You can identify one by measuring the axle tube diameter. If it's four inches, it's a 70HD. if it's three inches, it's a regular 70. The disk brake conversion on a 70 HD is...

    Wheel Spacers

If you were to put dually hubs on the front Dana 60 and swap the 14 bolt in the rear for a Dana 70(preferably Dana 70HD) you could run the h1's without needing spacers and the WMS-WMS will be exactly the same front and back. Idk who makes them but there are dually spacers too that you can use...

    Holy crap

    cucv price?

I'd pay that if it runs drives and stops. A back glass w/weatherstripping and a hood is SUPER cheap and easy to come by on those trucks.

Is running a singled dually rim on a trailer a bad idea?

    Probably "not new"="old"

Is running a singled dually rim on a trailer a bad idea?

I don't think you should have any problems. Trailers like that are too small to have that much weight in them anyway. I'm not saying you couldn't pack enough in it to break it I'm just saying most people don't.

A few questions about speed and gearing

500 vs 454: I read a thread that said the caddy 500 is lighter and can produce up to 800HP. But the 454 has more options. But where to find one?? I can get a 454. That's not too hard. it seems easier (compared to a deuce)to just get an m1008 or m1028 and swap a 454 and some 46's?
