Another way to lower an M1101/M1102

Did you ever post pics of the " U-shaped pieces that were each only about 1-1/8" tall " process?

    M1102 Spare

Possibly. I think two spares up top make sense to me. Couple of downsides though. - Taking up space in the trailer. - Having to lift the spare out.

    M1102 Spare

Pics Note: last pic is where I added a rivet nut to store the bolt. Intent is to remove from sidewall when not in use.

    M1102 Spare

Took a different approach. The wheels are 245/75-17 (GM rims) and the spares (2) fit perfectly in front of the wheel wells, upright. I attached a 1/2-13 rivet nut to each trailer wall and secured the wheels with all-thread and wood blocks. Does it add weight to the front? Yes. Does keep the...

    M1102 Spare

Just found a generic application made by Lippert. See... https://www.etrailer.com/Spare-Tire-Carrier/Lippert/LC159056.html May work just fine.

    M1102 Spare

Trailer tongue is occupied with fuel cans and propane tanks. I am considering behind the axle. Easier access. Are you looking at the cradle that lifts/pivots the entire wheel or the crank type? Keep me posted.

    M1102 Spare

All, My M1102 is NOT running the stock issue HMMWV wheels. I have added adapters to run the GM 8x180 (?) wheels to match my 2016 Silverado. Question: Has anyone mounted a spare under the M1102? Thanks in advance, Dennis

    M1102 marker light mysteries

Thank you. Will be removing the markers and checking grounds behind assembly. If no bueno, new markers go in.

    M1102 marker light mysteries

Roger that on the individual LEDs. Need to replace the entire assembly. I did a search on "Truck-lite amber lamp assembly 07407". Got these all over the place. Is there a better search term?

    M1102 marker light mysteries

All, I have read some associated postings but I seem to have a different type of marker light and two have failed. The failing lights are the front lower amber and they have 5 LEDs. If the power source (currently running on 12v) is common, what is the most likely issue? If the LEDs are...

    M1101 Bearing set

I run Bearing Buddies on my smaller utility trailer and they are useful while in transit to keep the bearings packed and water displaced (cheap insurance). They come off fairly easy when it is time to inspect and repack.

    M1101 Bearing set

You are all correct and they will inspected and repacked. Has anyone ever used Bearing Buddies on an M1101/M1102?

    M1101 Bearing set

All, Just "re-found" this thread. Hope there are others still working M1101/M1102 builds. I am building up an M1102 and currently have completed... 1) Wheel swap to GM 8-lug 2) Fuel tray on front (Scepters and 20# propane) 3) E-track points on exterior 4) Stabilization leg relocation/mods...
