You pull the center cord put of the outside of the rubber window molding, the then reinstall the cord after the window is reinstalled. Soapy water helps the process. Just a word of warning, it will get hotter then h@#l for your back seat passengers because airflow won't get back there w/o the...
We have the frost plug one from NAPA, and when we plug it in over night the snow will be melted off the hood, boy I wish did it a year earlier. I have one for our new CUCV so when I change the radiator then I have it in hand to install it when the cooland is out.
COMBATT was built on a '99 F350 with F450 axles. I got a chance to monkey around with the prototype some 3-4 years ago. Neat truck but WAY to many bells and whistles and that is probably what killed the program.
We've been running SliverStars in my boy's 009 for a couple of years now with no problem. I'm planning on doing something simular to LMC's headlight relay system.
One thing to remember 009 guys, our heater system is designed to handle a vehicle that has inner insulation panels on the interior of the truck, our CUCV's have very few of those. With my boy's 009, even when the front is warm, the back seat is still plenty cold with all that bare steel.
We got a replacement Pass side front quater from NAPA and it's really good quality and a really good price. It is also CAPA certified for OEM fit and finish. One of the things that concerned me the most about LMC is that they talked about dents and dings in shippment and this one was flawless.
I did that on my boys m1009, because the fan clutch started to come apart. I picked up 2 of the 16" or 18" from Advanced Auto, and one of the thermostat switch kits. I took off the shroud, and mounted the pass side fan high on the radiator, and the driver's side low on the radiator. I routed...
Hoolio,
One thing to remember, diesels do not like sitting. If it's 20 some years over with only 9200 miles, it sat for a while. I have also found that the ultra low sulpher diesel sucks, I run a gallon or so, of filtered WMO per tank and the clatter noise level has dropped alot.
Hi Guys;
I have a '84 m1009 with the gp resister byplassed to straight 12v. I've read alot of theads that mention AC 60G and Wellman 070 glow plugs. While looking up the AC's on the web at Autozone and Advanced Auto, they also list Autolite 1110 and 1112 {fast start} and Bosch 80034. Does...
The "pre-first" one was bad and leaking when we got the truck. The first one was from NAPA, and it worked great and the truck shifted when it should when it first went, it would shift to soon and when it would shift to second, it would then shift to third almost immeditly. And then shortly...
