    M105A2 Lunette bolt, wrench size.

One thing to know when you're pulling these definitely drop the tailgate on the trailer because if you don't the wind catches it and it makes for a bumpy ride. About a quarter of the way through this trip I put the tailgate down and it was a smoother ride the rest of the way and no longer felt...

    M105A2 Lunette bolt, wrench size.

Just got back from the 600 mile trip to pick up my other m105a2. Pulled with my Chevy S10 no problem. It pulled it like it wasn't even there and breaking was really good as well I had no problems being able to stop fast or having it push me all over the road so to all those naysayers out there...

    Painting a M998

For that price you could buy a good air compressor and pneumatic tools or a grinder with a nylon cup brush and a good respirator and just do it yourself for way cheaper. You could even buy all the things I just listed for less than 2k. If the 2K is for just the stripping of the paint buy your...

Here are a few pictures of one that we did for Humveeusa.com also known as Tough Trucks.

Yes that is correct we sandblast but do not remove all the paint. The purpose in doing so is so the primer coat that we put on adheres to the surface better. If the paint job is really bad then we will remove all the paint. After we sandblast or cup brush it we will blend in the areas that have...

Another thing to add is we typically do not strip off all the paint we still leave it there but sand it to a level that is required for it to look nice. It doesn't have to be 100% perfect because the high Build primer does an excellent job at removing imperfections.

The rivets still appear as they typically do and they are still visible when we use a high build primer even when we use a rubber coating on the whole body of the Humvee the appearance of the rivet is still there. Often times we will hand paint the rivets anyway to make them pop better and it...

    Painting a M998

The material that we used to code it is not Line-X or a bed liner it's a specialized rubber coating that has an insane bond strength not only this but there's no way for a water barrier to get between the rubber coating and the body because of how it works. Good prep work is essential to have a...

    Painting a M998

We sandblast ours and use a nylon cup attached to a grinder to remove most of the thicker paint. When the paint job is not too bad where the paint is chipped we typically blend those areas then when it comes to applying the primer will use a high build primer which fills in any depressions that...

A Rhino liner or a Line-X coating is definitely not the worst thing you can do actually it's one of the better things that you can do to these. This is a military Humvee it's probably going to be used off road in rough areas and this stuff will stand up to the rough environments it'll be exposed...

    Tire/wheel options for M105a2

Has anyone ever flipped the springs on the trailer to lower it? I would just remove the smaller set of Springs and keep the bigger ones but flip them.

    M105A2 - Pintle Hitch Height

Here's a good YouTube video on how to flip the lunette. Skip to about the 4:40 mark and at about the 7:30 mark it brakes free. He uses a wedge between the nut and the jack which forces the Lunette forward as he spins the nut off then when there's forward pressure on the Lunette he hits it with...

Thanks and thanks for the pictures! I'm using my Chevy S10 to pull it. I'm not worried cuz I pulled a kitchen trailer 450 miles with it and it pulled nice! My stretch of road doesn't have any mountains though.
