    That R 390 was a real good deal. Fantastic receivers . I used those when I was in the Army back in 1983 to 85. I've managed to pick up 3 so far, but would have bought that one. Best HF receiver ever.

    That poor truck. A guy out here did come thing similar. Bought a really nice M1009. Pulled out the diesel and put in a 350. Then swapped out the axles Giant lift kit. Painted it flat black wit lime green trim. I think the abomination finally died when he rolled it in a parking lot...

    Is there a way to change out the power steering system for one that has more "feel", like possibly fitting a unit from a 1996 or so 1500 pickup? Tried the search, not much luck. thanks.

    It was great. I went to DLI (Defense Language Institute) to learn German as a Voice Intercept Operator and then was stationed there twice. Good beer, good looking women and good times! Put many miles on CUCVs, Dueces and Tracks driving throughout Germany.

    Put in a new driven gear for my speedometer. Now, instead of having no idea how fast I am going on the highway, I get to choose between 45 and 65 miles per hour. Driven gear for the M1009 is the 41 tooth mustard yellow one. No parts houses carry them. Called a transmission repair shop, they...
