    Where did this come from?

Yeah I've never seen anthing like this except in the glow plug card. my second thought was that maybe it had something to do with my wire over heating.

    Where did this come from?

the wire is on the 12v terminal block next to the glow plug relay. it is orange and I guess it acts as a fusible link to a larger red wire. I have a fear its the driver side alt. wire. I found that capacitor under the truck on the driveway directly beneath the area of the glow plug relay. I...

    Where did this come from?

My m1008 has been acting up lately. Specifically the orange wire on the 12 volt spade that is a fusible link to the larger red wire. I couldn't find this on the diagram due to color difference. That wire has been getting really hot and has sparked twice. Once the truck is running the wire no...

    voltage/amp meters on m1008

That's true. I guess I like the idea of a number to look at instead of a tick mark.

    voltage/amp meters on m1008

Fair enough. How would I wire it up to monitor each battery separately?

    voltage/amp meters on m1008

Wouldn't one meter show 24 volts though since they are wired in series?

    voltage/amp meters on m1008

So I would run a wire from red wire to shunt then from shunt to the alt?

    voltage/amp meters on m1008

I have two digital voltage and amp meters they can each handle up to 30 volts and one of them is rated for 100 amps and the other is 200 amps. They use a shunt to wire up. I'd like to use one for each alternator or battery. So I'd use on to track the 12 volt system and the other 24 volt...

    M1008 wiring help

it's black with a white stripe and it has a ring terminal on it. my first impression is that it's a ground of some kind. I tried to circle it in the photo.

I've looked through the diagrams and I cant find this wire anywhere. the truck runs fine but seeing a random unhooked wire always concerns me. heres a picture below. the wire comes out of the same harness as the glow plugs and alternator wires. any help would be great thanks!

    m1008 seat replacement.

Thats a really cool set up. and those seats aren't as hard to find as suburban seats or vic seats. What do you think of running three of those seats across and making the center one fold down as a center console/seat? will those L-brackets on the side of the seats allow a mod to make the seat...

    m1008 seat replacement.

I see that in your picture now. yeah i'll have to do some careful planning on how to make it work. I thought there was a frame across the whole bottom of the seat. I wonder if I can make a cross support with angle iron or something. this is giving me a bunch of new ideas now. eventually when i...

    m1008 seat replacement.

I was thinking about something like that. I'm not savvy with a welder and i dont have access to one, but would it be possible to take the original bench seat off the original mount and then modify the donor seats to fit on that original bracket? the whole set up would move as one unit which...
