I would think the 105 bed would be too difficult to load across my bed (too much time and effort using cribbing and straps.
That would make me need a trailer - and for this load I think just pulling the LMTV trailer would be easier and just as cost efficient
Having owned and driven 3 HMMWV's, the main difference in the H1 civi truck and the HMMWV is the steering column (borrowed from Ford Motor Co) and the ROPS that was integrated into the roof structure.
If you have a typical surplused HMMWV, you have ABSOLUTELY ZERO protection from Falling...

I don't understand this type of post. All it typically does is create doubt, worry, and extra work for someone else. People 'trust' these forums, since usually they know more than the person cruising through here.

Both of mine, and every one Ive driven. Its because there is no Ackerman effect in the front suspension/steering geometry. Its set up like a farm tractor...just to steer.

How is this any different than the many many videos/experiences Ive seen/had where axles on the duece, and other 1/2 tons like your CUCV were submerged while running repeatedly?
Honestly I thought nothing would be harmed if the seals were intact.
God knows Ive submerged truck and Jeep axles...
