Yes, I did reuse the same star washers. Should I get new ones? Yes I also ran a separate wire from the plug to the frame for a ground.

I put both 1156 and 97 bulbs in. Both bolts are tightened into the back of the lights. I still have the problem.....pretty frustrating.

Yep you did give me a link and I looked through the manual. There weren't very good instructions on how to even correctly install the brakes. Is there anyone who sells a new ready to go kit with new parts?
