Need Help Diagnosing Fuel Delivery Issue

Well guys finally got the other IP swapped over that came off my buddy's donor 6.2 Was able to get it to fire up right away after swapping it over and now it will stay running and not die after letting off the throttle. Only weird thing was the first time i got it to fire off, it acted like it...

Need Help Diagnosing Fuel Delivery Issue

Yes it does, it just doesn't go back after hitting full throttle - video below: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1d9zRMxwtFSCrjm3Ffwt12DWVfB436LV_/view?usp=sharing I thought the metering valve was sticking, but after pulling off the injection pump and then looking at my buddy's injection pump...

Need Help Diagnosing Fuel Delivery Issue

Well i messed with it some more last night - adjusted the idle screw on the drivers side of the IP by the throttle cable, still same problem. It is just weird because it fires right up, and doesnt smoke. Idles somewhat fine after it warms up a bit. But after you let off the throttle, unless you...

Need Help Diagnosing Fuel Delivery Issue

Well I tried again last night - got it fired up and still the same problem. Installed the clear hose like mentioned, and there was not an air bubble when it was running. Only after shutting it off did a small bubble form. Next i tried cracking injector lines while it was running and had about...

Pull the check valve in the return line on the top of the injection pump. Look inside and see if there are little black bits in there. Already tried that and there were no little black pieces or anything - i could see light through the little glass ball

Need Help Diagnosing Fuel Delivery Issue

It's just so weird to me that this randomly started happening one day at an offroad competition. I thought if the IP is going out, the symptoms of that slowly come about? My truck has never just died while running. I remember it vividly because i didn't even realize it had shut off i was so...

Need Help Diagnosing Fuel Delivery Issue

So i should put the clear hose on there and see if there's an air bubble right? Does going through and cracking all of the other injectors get me anywhere? Seems i remember reading on a thread on here about the clear hose, but not really about guys needing to go through and crack injector lines...

I had an injector line cracked when i fired it up, wouldn't that have gotten most of the air out?

Doesn’t that just tell us if there is any air in the system?

Need Help Diagnosing Fuel Delivery Issue

Well guys plugs was an issue. Pulled them all and only 1 of them didn’t ohm out. Put all new ones in and finally got it to fire up and run but had to massage the throttle a little to get it to stay running. But if I gave it a lot of throttle, once I let off, it would die. It’ll fire right back...

Need Help Diagnosing Fuel Delivery Issue

I believe they did yes. Like i said, it has ran fine for years with no issues lol And yes i have replaced the started many times with the gear reduction one as i usually go on 2 river trips each year and the starter isnt a fan of being swamped in 3-4' of water, but O'reillys and their warranty...

Need Help Diagnosing Fuel Delivery Issue

One other thing i need to rule out i think now that i have the correct fuel pump is the filter sock in the tank being clogged, so if it doesn't fire with the new plugs, i am going to run a line from a diesel fuel jug to the fuel pump and see if that makes a difference

Need Help Diagnosing Fuel Delivery Issue

Yeah i plan on posting pictures of the pumps later - the one i pulled off of it that i got a replacement for is the incorrect one that does not work. But you can see when comparing them that both the plunger arms are still slightly different, even though they are the same style, which makes it...

Need Help Diagnosing Fuel Delivery Issue

good to know!!! fingers crossed the plugs are my issue then!! As you can see in the first video, it is kind of hazy in the garage from cranking, and you can see the passenger side intake port there's some white smoke kind of coming from it while cranking.

Need Help Diagnosing Fuel Delivery Issue

I haven't replaced the glow plugs before on this, so i ordered some of the suggested bosch ones anyways, but that wouldn't be my problem since it is about 80 degrees in my garage so the engine should be warm enough, right?
