good thought on the glow plugs not comming on, you will be able to hear if they are coming on or not by the click of the solinoid try cycling they key on and off a bunch of times before you actuall start it., I always have all my trucks on manual glow plug buttons theres a thread on here about it.

you'll kill a 6.2 if your planning on running around at 3500rpm, the like to run around 2200-2500 2800 being the top of the safe zone.

If you have charged the batteries or tried to jump start it and its still cranking slow, its a bad starter, It should not be that slow or sound like that.
look at the fuel filter (silver rectangular Box) on firewall to the left of engine and check for any signs of wetness or leaks around that...
the turbo kit isnt worth the money unless your putting it on a truck that you do alot of towing with. as for the rest of the bolt on power options they will only bring you a headache.
your problem isnt lack of power its gearing.
stock its got 3.08:1 gears thats really high to begin with...
