I made a lot of dumb mistakes on this one.
First, I forgot I never changed this filter when I installed the genset. I recall it was too tight to remove with a regular filter wrench and thought I would get back to it. I never did.
Second, I tried to change it under pressure and started...
Was looking into this in case plan A doesn't work out. So are all/most hydraulic hoses rated for diesel?
Napa says they only make up hydraulic hoses and I imagine the person that answered the phone thinks "fuel" means gasoline.
Hello,
Does anyone have a spare they're willing to sell and can get shipped out tomorrow?
I've got a mangled fuel filter / water separator that is stuck and I'm not sure there's enough left to get it removed without damaging the base. I've removed the panels to get better access but no luck...
That's great for a load bank. And I forgot you already told me your outside unit is AC only and not a heat pump/AC combo. I keep forgetting the farther south in Florida you go, you don't see as many heat pumps because they're just not needed.
That is excellent. I am sold. With only a single 3.5 ton heat pump at my house, this should more than enough for me. Since you're in Florida, does that same unit also provide heat for you? or do you a have a totally separate heating system?
Edit - can you also tell us the source for those...
Ok - good to hear you're not using a $400 meter. I need to go back to the drawing board to figure out why I'm getting such low readings. Glad your kit is working for you. Hopefully your MEP can start it now.
What is that model of the meter are you using?
I have a lower-end Fluke which doesn't have an "inrush" function. I have to watch the screen to see the spike. Then I bought a $25 clamp on meter with a "maximum" function. It only shows the peak but I imagine it's not the best sampling rate...
I've seen some crazy prices but still some very reasonable prices out there. I think some people are just trying to make a buck before hurricane season. He might even get someone to buy that 400Hz unit with the buyer not even understanding the distinction.
