When I was chasing brake issues on mine, I discovered the vent line that comes up on the firewall near the air filter has an orificed fitting on the end that was clogged up. This wouldn't allow the air pack to vent properly and forced air into the master cylinder. I also had a "hiss", but mine...
Quick question for y'all. I am running 54" Mich's on my bobbed deuce, but am dropping down to 49" tires. Can I reuse the 54 x 20" tubes in the 49" tires? Or would they be too big and cause problems? If so, any leads on just where I could get 49 x 20 tubes? I have been searching every tire and...
I dunno, my best edumacated guess, I guess. I really don't know how the rim would get bent the way it was. I managed to straighten the rim on the 50 ton press at work. Now I am working on rotating the tires, since I wanted the better ones up front anyway. I'm hoping to have them all done over...
Yeah, I thought about that, they were all tight and centered in the holes. There was a definate bend in the rim. I think the bad king pin bushing and spacer started the wobble and that acted like a hammer that started the bend in the rim and then it just compounded itself because of the weight...
They are tube type rims, rechecked and straightened rim, but it still has a slight bend on the frond half of rim. Going to take it to work on Monday and try and straighten it some more.
My truck has developed wobbly wheel syndrome, or as some say...death wobble. At 35 mph I get so much wobble that I can't even hold the steering wheel, moves about 2" either way. So OK, I figure maybe tie rod ends, king pins or wheel bearings. I found some play in the king pin (.020 up and down...
Nothing coming out of the MC, I'd start with bench bleeding the MC. That will generally get the air out of the MC, then move on to bleeding at the airpack, then work your way around each wheel cylinder starting with the one farthest from the MC and work your way to the closest. You will go...
Rick, actions like what happened to Hidden Lakes are exactly what are pushing our Eco friends and state regulators to close the woods to all off roaders. But, not everyone that wheels the Pines are buttholes. Some of us do care about the habitat. We also care about our hobby and want to see the...
How about instead of a a large group breaking the "law" by descending on the Pines, we all just gather and descend on Trenton and voice our opinion? In an orderly fashion of course.
All this as New Jersey goes broke at the hands of corrupt politicians. Lock up the land, gun control, take more and more of the hard earned monies, and move the masses along the cattle shoot
highways and byways. What is next?
Every October a local Jeep/4 wheel club organizes a clean up of Wharton State forest around the Atsion area. I have participated almost every year for the past 8 years. We clean up dumpsters of everything from beer cans to tires, to BOATS and MOBILE CAMPERS. None of US put that trash there, but...
