CUCV Build... Here We Go Again...

I might have missed it while reading but your headliner is that the one from LMc with the speakers? If so how well was it to install? does it seem flimsy or sturdy? Thanks. Looking good by the way

    Dana 44's on an m1009

This might be a good resource for you to look at for an idea of axles and strength. At the bottom go to the 2nd page for the front axles. If you are able to get a matching set thats good. I will say of what I have seen 14 bolt rears are more common and alot cheaper than the dana 60. Hope it...

    Dana 44's on an m1009

Thats tough to say. it all depends how you drive. I would suggest better safe than sorry go with a 1ton set up. Just thinking about if you spend the money on the D44 and it breaks then you will have more invested than a D60 would be (possiably) It is a tough decision. if you are not to hard...

M1009 up for auction in Indiana

I honestly did not know about this rule. This might be a good think to do a forced read when people sign up to read that rule before they are active so they know. I have no clue about this Indiana thing myself and would know how to get to anyways. i can not even find the one for my state

    Accident

Thats wild. i just read through. that kid had to be hauling to not only to lift up your front onto his hood but to move a parked vehicle a few ft. I hope the frame is not messed up and it is just a matter of being knocked out of adjustmnet. Let us know the outcome of everything. Take care

AxleTech's New Dana 60 Portal Axles

It was talked about on another site I am on. It is good if you are wanting to do 4 wheel steer. they are currently working on this adapter for the 14 bolt rear. Then you would have a mean set up but it will be pricy.

    turbo reqs

Of the banks kits I have seen they come with an exhaust system with the turbo. Realistacally if it does not come with it the only section affected is the passenger side. Driver side is untouched.

    Jimmy/K5/CUCV family

I used the wrong words there. i was meaning as far as the easy swap the 208 is better as far as easiablity but not a better in overall case. Sorry for the confusion. I will fix my post I know I had the 241 in my Tahoe and it was nice and I was running 35's with upgrade axle compoents no...

    M 1009 wanted, Ontario Canada

Thanks for the info wolf. I was half joking with the trade. I would help anyone get one if I could.I am jut being optimistic I might can get one of the iltis's but not sure I can afford one.

    M 1009 wanted, Ontario Canada

You help me get an Iltis and I can get a m1009. i do not know about your laws but to bring yalls vehicle here if it is more than 25 yrs old nothing is needed? There are plenty of 84 m1009s here so that would work good for you if that rule applies. The only problem is the better shape...

    Jimmy/K5/CUCV family

The 241 is a good case overall and there is some debate on the best. If you feel you need to you can swap a 208 tcase it is an easier swap but not a better overall Tcase swap. You can get an adapter and drop in a 203 or 205 which is very beefy. Any of these mods besides the 208 will require...

30 deg climb in temps + snow = Big Ugly plays tow truck in the slush!

That was pretty cool. Not know the area. i got nervous when that one car went flying by in the background. I had no clue what was going on. Brand loyalty is good to a point some people take it so far that are closed minded about other options. As far as the rust part has anyone used a liner...
