I found a set for the rear bumper that fit perfectly on eBay. I looked and couldn't find the seller just now. I have them wired as reverse lights. Work great.

Looks to me like the bearings failed. Looks like the inner races are still on the spindle. I've seen this once before, but the truck was overloaded.

I would suggest downloading the wiring diagram. It will give you a starting point for troubleshooting.
I've found a lot of bad wiring repairs in my M1009.

Yes. Done that also. I like the light because I can see it from driver seat when pulling fuses or finding bad wire under dash.

One way to find current draws is to take negative cable off and hook test light between post and cable. The bigger the current draw the brighter the lamp will light. Pull fuses one by one, wiggle wire, etc. looking for the light to dim or go out. Found several bad wires over the years this way...
