If you care for the motor right, it'll likely last forever, but keeping it maintained is the key to this.

So basically you're willing to pay a lot of money for a truck that it soundsl like they still need to work all the bugs out of? IMO, they shoulda just stuck a CAT motor and really big manual tranny in there and it would do just fine probably.

Just a note for you. the 6.9 and 7.3 were made by Ford until 1994.5, THEN Navistar started making the Powerstroke 7.3 that is so famous.

According to the auction, you have one LDT and evidently your other motor IS from a 5 ton, the auctiion says LDS 465. main difference would be power, lots more of it.

Chrome has no place on a deuce. the sound is cool though.

IT looks like a real nice truck. probably gonna need tires sometime soon though. looks like the exhaust has been redone, has a hardtop, and looks pretty clean.
