Landed my first M37 in Aberdeen

It is sorta tough when the old one is in as well. It is not like all the old headlight wires still are marked. I hooked mine to the switch then lined it up with some of the under dash wires. Once I was able to power it up I was able to go wire by wire with a test light and multimeter to figure...

    M37 Brake Question

Sounds like you need a new master cylinder. They were made at a time when things were not as exact as modern master clinders.

Did you try midwestmil for the gen cable? He has the best parts and knowledge for the m37 trucks. John seems to be a person who can come up with anything you can think of. If he doesnt have it or cant get it he can tell you who to talk to.

Thats a cool jeep you have. I have learned that sometimes I have more fun with my not so "correct" toys anyways.

I'm in southern MD. There are several m37 guys super close to you who I have met and had lots of good fun with while working on m37's. Is this your first "mv"?

Nice truck, it's cool to see another m37 in the area. If there is any kind of help you may need from a local let me know.

    Oil leak

I have been using the largest gaskets in the kit. But I was unaware that they needed 65 ft pounds so I'll have to go torque them and see. As for spin on filters I honestly had not thought about them so it looks like I'll get the kit for the next oil change.

    Oil leak

For the third time I've sprung an oil leak on one of the oil filter gaskets on my duce. I was wondering if this is a sign of over pressuer at the filter? I am sure that the filter housing is true and correctly tightned. A few years ago I ahd a m715 that would blow the gaskets out but I...

M37 need some help info for parts

Midwest is the best for parts. But if you dont mind going a little aftermarket vintagepowerwagons has an electronic ignition for the 24 volt dist. As for tdc the distributor can be either 180 in or out as it only uses a key way instead of gears. Form there you only can fine tune the timing...

    Value of a m37 ?

A good clean resto can be valued in the $8500 area. But a correct to detail resto with lots of accessories can be worth much more. I guess it all comes to what someone is willing to pay.

running 11.00 X 16 Michelin XL with tube?

I have been using the 11.00 R 16 michelins for a few years. The trick is finding the tubes and flaps for radial tires and budd styly wheels. You will still need the same setup even with combat wheels. international tire and tube is where I have always gotten them from. But I do believe John at...
