There are leaking pinion seals on each axle, so I think that the seals need to be replaced. Is it possible to pull the sprag unit with out pulling the transfercase from the truck? Then I can check gears sprag, etc. Any ideas or suggestions would be great. Thanks

I put that same carb, aircleaner setup on a couple years ago. Great improvement. I didn't change the jetting. I just have a pertronix and that carb. Starts right up and runs great. Great fence fixing truck with 11.00 16 tires.

HEI and a 2 barrel carb does wonders, starts right up, runs down the road with no problems. The HEI requires you to lose the fuel pump/vacum pump but an electric pump with a big spin is a huge improvement.
