Military use for 6x6 and 8x8 amphibious ATV's?

I also have a KID 8x8. The two suppliers that were around are now gone, shonson.com and kid8x8.com, they are both done for. Hopefully whoever bought the stuff from them will resurface and start selling parts. They are great machines and hope that the parts done dry up.

    run ins with law enforcement

Overweight is a big deal in WI too if you are stopped by a Wisconsin DOT Inspector. Roads are expensive to take care of and they make sure you are legal. Winter isn't as much of a problem because we allow heavier loads when frozen. But when spring rolls around, if you are overweight, no...

    24v pyro gage

Check out hewittindustries.com. Contact Van Sorrels (van@hewittindustries.com), he has sold many pyro and boost gauges to people w/ 2.5tonners and 5tonners. Has a lot of good info and good prices. I got his info from another SS member couple years ago.

    Other types of seats..

I put a 40/60 split front bech seat from a 1990 GMC 3/4ton. Fits in good for me, I mostly use my truck on the farm and for hauling wood. I am ~6'5", so this allowed me to put the seat back and down farther. (My original seats were junk)

Curt receiver hitch for the Deuce, 18,000lb/1,800lb

Curt makes the adapter sleeves also. U-Haul is a major supplier of Curt hitches and can usually get a good deal on the hitches there. Not always, but usually.

    Deuce Tire Chains

I have a 30 ton air bottle jack that I keep with me, along with some wood chunks and metal. If/when I chain up I do it on the road before I head into the field where I will need the chains. Or before I hit road where chains are needed. Makes life a lot easier if you can jack up one tire at a...

The city is making me sell my truck.

Same here... I can't park my truck @ my house because it is over 12,000 lbs. You can't park vehicles on your lawn either, however my neighbors have an old POS motor home parked next to their garage in the grass. Village response: "So?"

170hp cat motor out of m35a3 in m35a2?

Because rest of the power train isn't made to handle that much horsepower....

    Cold weather starting

I have the ether setup on my truck. Works great. In Wisconsin you do need some setup for cold starts. I also have a coolant heater on mine, but I'm not always near electricity when cold start is needed.

Kicked out of my own driveway!

My Village ordinance says nothing over 12,000 lbs can be parked overnight on the street or on your own property. It sucks, but oh well.

    8x8 Deuce

In RE: to the weight... mine is #13,650 lbs. With me and 1/2 tank fuel, just ran it over scale yesterday.

    Need some ether start canisters.

Actually you do not get better results manually. The system installed on the cold weather trucks is made to protect you from "over doing" the ether. Too much ether can destroy engines if you use too much.

    Need some ether start canisters.

The canister setup on mine is identicle to ones on some of our tractors. Try tractor (farm tractor) supply stores. Remember I am in Wisconsin though, so these are very common around here. I will check and see if the place I order them from has website when I get a chance.

The Great Snow And Ice of Louisville.

I have dual 9.00x20's w/ Chains all around (front and back). Only issue I have ever had is getting stuck on the chassis. :( Went through one of my fields two winters ago to pull out a friends 1/2tonner chevy... lets just say I never made it there untill I retrieved my skidsteer... I hit a big...
