Just needed some help finding some 6x7.25 16 wheels or adapters, stockton has some but there a little $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for my taste.
But right now I'm down to making them, for that matter any good advice going that would be great. The only thing that worries me with that is getting them...
Been finding alot of post on repowering dueces and 5 tons. And I was wondering why; low power, parts hard to come by, or just for fun?
I was figuring low power, and that led me to wonder what one of these engines would put out if PROPERLY modified, pyro, turbo, fuel settings, timming, ect...
Would a dt466 or 6bt cummins not work well? Parts are easy to come by, simple as any engine out there, no electronics, rugged, reliable, and as much power as you care to make.
Just wondering how high off the ground you were able to mount your gooseneck ball, and by chance any pics of it?
I'd been wondering if I could haul my trailer with my 5 ton, but at the same time didn't want to take the bed off it.
Works well but need a larger reservoir. The cylinder I had was a little on the overkill side and displaced quite a bit more volume than my power unit had.
Well just got back in from making a small hyd crane to go on my new/old truck. Just got the frame done so far, hopefully by tom night we'll have it up and running.
My names Bryan I'm from ky and I recently became the owner of a 68 M54. Shortly thereafter I realized it was significantly diff than most other trucks/EQ I've worked on, which led me to the conclusion that I'd probly need a little help.
In short here I am lol and thanks in advance.
