I need the power steering box which can operate the twin steering from two 2-1/2 steering axles. I assume that Ross HF54 box is the one from M800 series 5 ton trucks, used with the ram on the passenger side? Is it possible to use the box without the ram, and still have the true power steering...
OK, I am the one you talk about here, so I want to clarify a few things. I had several identical units of air steering assist from M35A3 trucks. I took one, and put some used oil on using a brush to make it look a bit nicer, took the pics, and then put it on ebay. The assists have been slowly...
Hi Guys, I have this trany for sale. When it was in the truck, the third gear barely kicked in, and the tranny went immediately to the 4th gear. It didn't skip the 3rd, but the 3rd gear never reached the higher RPM. There was no slipping or any other problem. I heard it is normal, because the...
Explicit1, here are some speculations in this thread that the tandem would push the vehicle staight too much, and it would affect the ability to steer it. Have you noticed something like this? Does it steer like original deuce, or is there any difference? Thanks., Peter
It looks like the m275's tandem is about 1 fl closer to the front axle, then m35. I might go perhaps a foot further. Then eliminate the rear bumperettes and put there the bumper. It would make the rig 3 ft shorter like other bobbers are.
I will put them in the bed behind the cab. I want to have it for daily use, and the off road use. The extra axle would spread the weight over larger area, so it would not sink that easily. I would like to remove some leaf springs from the back, to make suspension softer. Don't care about...
I want to shorten my M35A3, but I would like to keep it 6x6. If I move the rear tandem forward about 3 ft, can it cause any negative impact on vehicle's performance, like stability, or turning? Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Peter
