The pump itself is pretty wet. I had a lot of the cracked hoses replaced when i got the truck 5 years ago. I've got a small drip from the oil pan so everything is a little dirty/wet.. but the pump is seeming real wet.
I have a spare fuel pump in my truck just have never done the work before...

I've got my glow plugs on a switch and if you dont know the location.. after its been parked its not gunna fire.... Although your gunna get a chewed up flexplate/starter its not gunna move. You could also put a switch infront of the fuel pump and it will only go so far.. thats the adam carolla...
