My station as two M35A3's that we use as woods trucks and my county has a total of 8 in service, ours both have 750 gal poly tanks. All of these trucks came through the State Forestry Division.

This is because M818 is 5 ton, those on here that live in Fl. and own Semi's, or big r/v's will be fimiliar with this....Florida's way of getting more money, supposely for the roads, to offset wath they say is heavier vehicles causing more damage.... I believe it's similar to what NC residents...
It's diffently hard to tell from where I'm at and not there, but it kinda sounds like problem in transfer case/torque converter/flywheel, IMHO... but the smoke you notice as me wondering if it was the crankcase...HHMMMMM...hope all turns out well..:cry:
Well it sounds like Mr. Murphy strikes again, it's not you it's the MV curse. Read just about any recovery thread on the site and you will see that old man Murphy has a way of showing up. Any ways glad you made it home and the truck looks great.....
Nice job....But being hows I live in Fl. and hopefully won't never have to do it, I would never be outside painting anything with snow on the ground...or for that matter doing anything else..
