    I had the same thing happen. I Changed out all of the original Wellmans (there was only one or two that were good) on my M1010 for AC60G's and they fried within a couple of days.     full tank only reads a quarter tank.

    Sometimes the floats will become fuel-logged and will read much lower than normal. Either way you look at it, you've got to drop the tank to repair.

    Changing the diff with break cleaner ?

    I usually use a can of Berrymans carb cleaner whenever I change fluid. I find that it helps thin out the residual gear lube that's still in there and dislodge any small metal particles. But that's just me. Probably overkill, but it makes me feel better.
