I recently had to redo some wires on the left turn signal after I removed the fender to replace my IP. I went back into the harness to good wire and replaced from there up to the packard connectors for the turn signal. When I was done it worked, no issues. Next day I loaded up for a run to...
It's a PITA. I planned on taking the rad out anyway to replace belts, etc. Getting the **** thing out was not easy either. Had to remove the grill, and fan to get the rad out. Ahh, the joys of a winch truck...

Went to the GA Rally, only made it one day due to the truck springing an axle leak. Anyway, I finished up some projects I've been working on. Replaced the air compressor gasket, all the belts, all the hoses, changed the oil and filters, and welded a new stud onto the bottom of the radiator...
I actually went a similar route due to some posts I read of yours. I didn't go silicone on the water due to I didnt research that much on it. Happy so far with the other hose improvements. Seriously happy with the people ay Parker after my experiences this week.

Honestly I don't trust many businesses in Calhoun, but thats just me. I would search around farther south closer to ATL if you are still going that route. I have dealt with D&D in Canton and Capital in Woodstock. D&D has a laser and full CNC equip. I usually have to wait for my stuff due to...
Replaced the fuel line from the tank to the secondary filters with PTFE stainless braided line. The Parker hose guy is my new best friend. Also changed all 3 filters while I was at it. Applied Swamp Donkey's LED light kit, looks great. Thanks Donkey! Installed a new temp guage, the old one...
Happened to look at the fuel line that runs under the radiator today and noticed that its rather abused. Actually surprised that its not leaking. Anyway, I'm going to use this opportunity to replace all the copper lines. Found some Stainless braided PTFE fuel line, but its all jibberish to...
I wouldnt recommend casting. The amish in PA are off grid but do good casting work for decent prices. I have some contacts there and China if you want to give it a shot. China wants a large minimum though (100 I think). Machining something like that doesnt look cheap either. Laser/waterjet...
You are exactly right about the log truck drivers. I was a manager at a large railroad in southern AL for 5 years and part of my job was to respond to crossing accidents. I can't even count how many involved reckless log truck drivers, they do not pay attention to anything.

I outsource all of my stuff. Usually use a waterjet especially for multiples. You can stack several sheets and make one cut with a waterjet. Much cheaper that way. I've seen lots of people on here that seem ro have CAD experience, so plenty of help if you change your mind. BTW the sunroof...
