I finally put my new gauges in that I've had sitting around my shop for about 2 years. I had someone from this site cut a panel to help make the pyro & boost look a little bit more "factory". I wish I could remember who it was but I can't find any record of correspondence either in my msg file...
Drove mine almost 350 miles and managed to lock mine up in my parking lot when I got home just shifting from reverse to first. Not sure how or why it happened but she sure did lock up.
I read and re-read that post and you know what? I failed to mark either housing for alignment when I put it back together. Going to take a little longer getting those 3 pieces in just the right position.
Thanks Floridianson, that's what I was wanting to hear. Makes me feel better but we'll see if that's the case. Yes, I've set the main fuel adjustment where I want it but before I do any more adjusting I'm going to go ahead and rebuild the turbo since I've got to take it most of the way down to...
If it was just the cover I would have popped it off and looked but the FDC is still on there (it is disconnected). I haven't researched to see about lifting it off w/o running into other stuff, I didn't want to just blindly start pulling it off.
I agree on all counts. Got off track a little on that dang droop screw though. Still would like to know what's going on with that so I can adjust if needed.
It's an LDT. Only things I've done is change the fuel filters and the air filter is pretty recent. Some of the other things you mention are going to be new to me but I ain't scared to get into it. The only place I see oil where it doesn't belong is around the turbo. I'm going to switch it out...
I've been looking at manuals and searching posts for days and found everything I was looking for. I finally bumped up the fuel, tested & tested some more, checked and rechecked the numbers and am real happy with the results. Nothing to aggressive and I can get up long grades without holding...
Do I just need to use my man-hands or is that screw suppose to turn somewhat easily? I used right much pressure to try to turn it either way but I didn't know if I'd break a zizwheel or a kanibling pin or some such thing inside there so I left it alone. It runs better up hills since I turned up...
Thanks guys, I couldn't ask for much more detail than that!! I'll try the horn button first since it's suppose to pour down rain the next couple of days. I did connect the electric horn while messing with the solenoid yesterday just to see if it worked and what it sounded like (a cute little...
Generally when I push the horn button I get a loud squeal, if I push harder I'll get the louder deeper sound. Sometime's it seems like it depends on the location of where I push the button but my thought is the button is only sending an electrical signal to the solenoid and has nothing to do...
Thanks porkysplace. I used loc-tight on my FLH but have not had to on any my other vehicles, that's why I was asking. Haven't really had a problem with any of the fasteners on the deuce loosening up again but then I don't drive it every week. I'll keep a check
Does the Deuce suffer from the same malady as the Harley? When I first brought it home (Deuce 1/2) there were leaks here and there that I found was nothing more than nuts/bolts that needed torquing, some were quite loose. Since tightening everything up (I thought) there is not a drop of anything...
