Battery tender/maintainer on M1009 with 12 volt conversion?

    Our New Departmental MRAP

Here is the nearly finished project...Still need to install fiberglass poles on the front bumper to arch over the top to push any low wires up over it. Also we have all the drivers getting prepped for training by the military as soon as we can work out the logistics.

    M1009 Receiver Hitch

I put on a Draw-Tite last summer and it was a pretty straight forward install. Hardest thing was getting some the old rusted nuts to break free. Just used plenty of PB Blaster and take your time. You can find some good deals on them online. Good Luck.

    Our New Departmental MRAP

Thanks...Interior is still tan....Emergency lighting, siren and radio installed today. Not sure the about the emergency lighting and siren since I don't think they will be driving it fast enough to have move too much traffic out of the way but I guess they might come in handy in some instances...

    Our New Departmental MRAP

When I first started this thread I had some reservation because I knew that these vehicles can be controversial but I went ahead because I thought it was a neat vehicle and that most people, that don't have any current military experience, would like to see and hear information on it. We had a...
