Thank you everyone. I appreciate your answers. I will continue to fiddle with the linkages externally and see if i can find the problem.

Hi Gimpy, the hinge swings free and easy. Thanks though.

    Throttle linkage sticking

I am having issues with my throttle sticking. I have searched for answers and not found a lot of information other than to make sure to check the linkages and the return spring. I have done both of these and still have sticking. I believe that something might be gunked up in the injection pump...

    Injector tips

Hi all, I purchased new injector nozzles. I was wondering if anyone was familiar with how to swap these out. I could not find anything by searching. Thank you, Russ

    Oil Fairy?!?!

The o-ring on my shut off lever went bad and allowed diesel into the crankcase. Easy fix and one of the first places I would look.

    Steering swerving

I have to agree with fsearls92. I was having very similar steering issues when I switched to larger tires. Terrifying... I was given the advice to air down the tires and that corrected the problem. My personal preference is 45 PSI all the way around. Good luck and I hope this simple fix helps.

    Mansfield Bars

I unintentionally build one for my truck. Its real purpose was as a winch mount and trailer hitch. It does affect your clearance for a high angle approach in reverse. I have ground it out a time or two. It does however do the jobs I intended it for nicely.

    Blown multifuel motors

Page 1 posting #4 has a link to the article from the military that you are looking for. At least I think that is the one. Interesting reading.

    What's your Deuces' name?

The guys at work named mine for me. I burn WVO and they jokingly forbid me from parking too close to the building. They named her "Big Stinky".

    5th gear? In a deuce?

I used a four by four through the windshield and back window. I also used a chain hoist. I did use a chain to mount the hoist to the 4x4. I ran the chain through a five inch pipe and had the pipe on top of the 4X4. This allowed the chain to slide back and forth across the 4X4. Not a bad job at...

    valve adustment signs and symptoms

Thank you all for the info. I have been having a little more drool out of the slobber tube but other than that I haven't had any problems. Still runs great. More than anything I am just curious if I should adjust the valves or not. Probly would not hurt. I can hear the valves rattling around but...

    valve adustment signs and symptoms

Hi all, I was hoping to find out how the need for a valve adjustment would show itself. What symptoms would my deuce show? Thank you all for any information.

Antbody consider an 1101 bed for a bobbed deuce?

I have a m105 on my bobbed deuce. I think that the gap between the cab and the bed is a great idea. A couple of tool boxs and spare storage would be awful nice. Perhaps you could pick up one of those five ton spare carriers.
